Just a quick reminder to attend the Home Energy Workshop on August 18, 5:30pm-7pm. The workshop will be held at the Ellipse Room in the Technology Center of Rockland Community College.

The workshop is free!
By pre-registering you will receive 3-pack high efficiency CFL bulbs just for attending. It is not too late
to pre-register. It takes only a few minutes and only need your name and an email address. Start

You will learn about home energy improvements that will save utility costs, raise property value while making your home more comfortable and healthier.
The Home Energy Workshop is presented by Renew Rockland and sponsored by Rockland County, Americorps of Rockland County, and Orange
and Rockland Utilities.

On August 4th Governor Cuomo signed the “Power NY Act” which included a new financing option to repay loans to make home energy-efficient
improvements. Homeowners will soon have the option to pay for energy-efficient improvements on their utility bills. The energy savings from
the improvements will be available to offset the loan payments allowing more homeowners to qualify for loans! We will have more updates in
future newsletters. Please watch for it and encourage your Rockland County friends, family members and neighbors to sign up for the newsletter at
the RenewRockland.org website.

It’s not too early to think about replacing your home’s older gas fired heating equipment with today's high-efficiency technology.
According to www.EnergyStar.gov, you could cut your heating costs by 30 percent and may qualify for a rebate of up to $700 from
Orange & Rockland.
We recommend you first take advantage of a
free/cost-reduced home energy assessment offered by the Green Jobs Green New York program.
This assessment will identify all the energy related cost savings opportunities in your home.
