of Consolidated Edison, Inc.,
an electric and gas utility headquartered in Pearl River,
NY. O&R and its two utility subsidiaries, Rockland Electric Company and Pike County Light & Power Co., serve a population of approximately 750,000 in seven
counties in New York, northern New Jersey and northeastern Pennsylvania.
Within New York State, O&R delivers electricity to approximately 222,965 customers and natural gas to 128,555 customers.

Residential High Efficiency Natural Gas Rebate Program
O&R is offering cash rebates to residential customers for the installation of energy efficient Naturl Gas Space Heating and Water Heating equipment, and ENERGY STAR programmable thermostats.Eligible equipment must be purchased and installed between July 1, 2009 through December 31, 2011, or until funding is exhausted.

Background
On June 23, 2008 the New York State Public Service Commission (PSC) issued an Order establishing an Energy Efficiency Portfolio
Standard (EEPS) for New York State. In this Order, all New York State utilities were required to implement a residential natural gas
heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) energy efficiency program.
O&R will offer rebates to eligible residential customers who replace or install qualified equipment. The high-efficiency gas
equipment must meet specific efficiency ratings.
The purpose of the program is to encourage customers to purchase and install higher efficiency equipment, thereby reducing the state’s overall energy consumption and encouraging wise energy use.

HOW TO GET YOUR REBATES:
Instruct your contractor to install equipment that meets eligibility requirements. Ask your contractor for an O&R rebate program application, or obtain one from us by calling 1-877-852-5678 or e-mailing Scott Markwood. Complete the application, attach proof of equipment purchase and mail to:
